I’ve been reading Lesley Pearse books since my teens! Still remains that I love her books. Her style is fantastic and once I get into the book I can’t put it down.
This story is based in war times. No one had it easy then. Ruby and Verity included! The heart break of war is apparent in this sorry but mostly it is about love and friendship and how it can bring people together.
I really loved this book. Verity and Ruby make the best of friends. Both coming together from different sides of the socioeconomic status!
Nothing can get in the way of a true friendship like these girls have! Neither of them had an easy life and my heart goes out to them!
I’m glad that In the end they had Wilby to care for them, lovely boyfriends that will become husbands and each other. Together they have all they need. Love and family!
