** spoiler alert ** When I started this book I did not know that it was the second half of the story about Molly and Bernie!
Thankfully it is a book that you can read and enjoy without knowing the other half of their story!
Molly and Bernie moved from Ireland to Liverpool for a better life one better off. They both had stories to tell from when they first moved to Liverpool, heart break, scandals and friendship.
They thought they had finally found their home, their loves and had their families, their sisters moved from Ireland to be with them.
Then world war 2 broke out. The girls worked amazingly as ambulance offices. As did their husbands Joe a policeman and Bertie from a convoy man to a foreman of the ammunition warehouse. They did their part and lived near they could.
Unfortunately Molly lost her husband to the war and decided to move back to Ireland where he children were waiting for her! When the war got bad she took them to be with their grandma and grandpa where they could be well looked after!
After the war Molly and Bernie were reunited in Ireland! Molly now successful in her own curtain shop! Both their sisters married or getting married and their own children happy!
